Undo and Redo buttons

The curved arrow buttons let you undo and redo actions. Undo (↺) reverses your last change. Redo (↻) re-applies an undone change. You can also use keyboard shortcuts:

Navigation Links

Blog and Tutorials navigation links

The Blog and Tutorials links take you to guides and articles about video editing. These open in the same tab.

Project Name

Project name input field

Type in this field to name your project. The name is used as the filename when you save or export. Keep it descriptive — for example, 'Instagram-Reel-Summer-Sale'.

Canvas Ratio

Select the aspect ratio for your video. This determines the shape of the canvas. Choose based on where you will post the video:

16:9 — YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn

9:16 — TikTok, Reels, Shorts

1:1 — Instagram feed

4:5 — Instagram portrait

Default Clip Duration

Duration selector next to ratio

Set how long new clips last by default. Options are 5s, 10s, 15s, 30s, or Custom. This applies to text, shapes, and other static layers when they are added.

Zoom Controls

Zoom in and zoom out buttons

The − and ＋ buttons zoom the canvas in and out. This does not affect the actual video output — it only changes your preview zoom level for easier editing.

New, Load, Save

New, Load, and Save buttons

New clears the project and starts fresh. Load imports a previously saved .json project file. Save downloads your project as a .json file you can reload later.

Tip: Save often! Your browser may clear data if you close the tab.

The editor also auto-saves your work periodically.

Image Export (JPG / PNG)

JPG and PNG export buttons

Click JPG or PNG to save a still image of the current frame. JPG is smaller but lossy. PNG is larger but preserves transparency and quality.

Video Quality (SD / HD)

Toggle between SD (720p) and HD (1080p) before exporting. SD exports faster and produces smaller files. HD gives better quality for YouTube and presentations.

Export Video

The blue Export button

Click the Export button to start rendering your video. A progress indicator shows the percentage. The export uses your browser's built-in recording — no server upload needed. When complete, the video downloads automatically.

Export time depends on video length, resolution, and effects used.
